WHAT IS TATTOO REMOVAL?

HOW MANY TREATMENTS WILL I NEED?

Results of treatment for superficial pigmentation can be seen as quickly as after just one single treatment. When pigmentation has reached the dermal layer of the skin, a further series of 3 treatments will be required. As every eyebrow tattoo removal is different, we can never know exactly how many treatments it will need. The main factors that affect treatment quantities are the type and composition of the ink and the quantity/depth of the tattoo.

WILL I LOSE ANY HAIR?

When performing eyebrow laser tattoo removal, there is always a small risk to your hair, however it is unlikely that you would lose any hair. This type of laser for tattoo removal is very different to the lasers used for hair removal. The tattoo removal laser fires a super fast pulse of light to break down the ink whilst the hair removal laser fires a far longer pulse to heat and destroy the hair follicles. Therefore, noticeable hair loss is very unlikely to happen.
You may experience temporary bleaching of the hair in parts; this is due to the laser fully targeting the dark pigment of all types. Your hair can be tinted again if this does occur.

HOW LONG IS THE TREATMENT?

A laser tattoo removal treatment takes 15-20 minutes per session and usually takes several sessions to see results, with a minimum of 6 weeks between sessions. The length of each session is dependent on the size, area and colour of your tattoo.

CAN YOU REMOVE BLACK INK?

Despite black ink being the darkest and thickest we encounter, it is often very straightforward to remove. Light grey tattoos can often be the easiest and quickest to remove.

CAN YOU REMOVE BROWN INK?

Brown ink tattoos have a high risk of oxidisation – this is caused by metallic elements of the ink turning grey when it is contacted by the laser. This means that the tattoo can get darker before it starts fading. Once it is oxidised, the ink can be removed, however it can take a little longer than unoxidised inks.

ARE THERE ANY SIDE EFFECTS AFTER THE TREATMENT?

ARE THERE ANY PRECAUTIONS AFTER THE TREATMENT?

We recommend that you avoid cleansing the treatment area for 24 hours following your session.
Do not apply makeup over the treatment area until the skin has scabbed over.
It is highly recommended to avoid the sauna and not to pick/touch the skin until it falls off naturally. It is best to avoid heavy sweating for at least 48 hours after the procedure.
