FAQ
Microneedling is a cosmetic procedure that involves creating tiny punctures in the skin with fine needles. The purpose is to stimulate the skin’s natural healing process and boost collagen production.
Microneedling is generally safe and well-tolerated, but some possible side effects include redness, swelling, bruising, bleeding, infection, and allergic reactions. These are usually mild and temporary, but you should consult your doctor before undergoing microneedling if you have any medical conditions or skin issues.
You should avoid sun exposure, tanning, waxing, chemical peels, retinoids, and other harsh products for at least a week before microneedling. You should also hydrate your skin and drink plenty of water. On the day of the procedure, you should cleanse your face and avoid wearing makeup or moisturizer.
You should apply a gentle moisturizer and sunscreen after microneedling and avoid touching or picking your skin. You should also avoid sun exposure, heat, sweat, alcohol, and spicy foods for at least 24 hours. You can resume your normal skincare routine after 3 days, but avoid exfoliating or irritating products for at least a week.
